Disable USB Ports on your computer from BIOS for other admins

Some times we need to block access to USB ports for other users on your computer. If they too have the admin right it will be a Herculean task to disable USB ports to other users using third party tools. So the only option left is disable the USB ports from BIOS and set a password for BIOS. So other users with admin right cannot enable the USB feature on your computer. OK here I assume they cannot remove and replace the CMOS battery.

Steps to disable USB ports for other users with Admin Right

To disable USB ports for other users with administrative privilege follow the steps below.

1. Reboot your computer

2. Press [F2] or [Del] as told in the mother board manual

3. Enter BIOS by entering BIOS password

4. Select Advanced

5. Select USB Configuration and press enter

6. Select the option to disable USB ports

To enable USB ports on your computer you need to enter BIOS and enable the USB Ports. The steps are the same except the last step. We need to enable the USB ports instead of disable.
